Construction and connections

The wide Walker-style band surrounds an exhaust pipe joint and is tightened by the external bolt-and-saddle assembly. It is used to connect pipe sections in exhaust, muffler or catalytic-converter pipework. This band joint is separate from a sanitary ferrule-and-gasket connection.
