Aluminum Machined KF Clamp: The aluminum machined KF clamp has a circular body and a lateral fastening lug.
Flange assembly
The clamp grips the mating vacuum flange edges; the sealing assembly is specified separately. For a KF connection, the mating flanges locate a compatible centring ring and O-ring between their faces. Clamp diameter, flange profile and seal dimensions must belong to the same connection system.
Machined body and use
The circular clamp body is machined from solid bar. It is used to join KF flanges in foreline vacuum plumbing and process systems. The clamp draws the flange edges together; a centring ring positions the elastomer O-ring between the mating faces.
