Construction and connections
The extended male-thread adapter has a projecting threaded neck above its hexagonal shoulder and clamp flange. The longer neck changes the axial stand-off from the clamp joint to the threaded connection. Select this construction by its actual neck and wrench-flat geometry rather than treating it as an alternate photograph of the short adapter.
